Description

Make a creamy lemon olive oil elixir with whole lemon, ginger, and honey. A simple morning drink that supports digestion and steady energy.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole organic lemon, washed well and quartered
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, soft and herby
  • 1 small piece fresh ginger, about 1 inch, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey (optional for sweetness)
  • 700 ml cold filtered water

Instructions

  1. Prep the lemon: Rinse the lemon well and cut it into four pieces. Keep the peel on for the creamy texture and added nutrients.
  2. Add everything to the blender: Place the lemon pieces, ginger, olive oil, honey, and water into the blender.
  3. Blend until creamy: Start on low for a few seconds, then blend on high for about 45 seconds. The drink should look pale yellow and lightly frothy.
  4. Strain the elixir: Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a jar. Let it drain slowly so the texture stays smooth.
  5. Serve fresh: Drink right away, or chill it for up to 3 days and shake well before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, choose Meyer lemons.
  • If the drink tastes too strong, add a splash of extra water.
  • If you do not have a blender, shake lemon juice, olive oil, ginger powder, honey, and water in a sealed jar for a lighter version.
